travelerbaralagoon.jpgAfter 15 years of planning to take a early retirement and go cruising it finally happened.  On Oct 24, 2004 along with 150 other sail boats left in the 12 annual Baja Ha! Ha! race bound for Mexico.  The first year was full of new experiences and very costly as we spent thousands of dollars getting the boat ready to leave only to lose our newly rebuilt engine 1500 miles south of San Diego and had to rebuild it once more.  The 2nd year we had a plan.  Cruise 6 months and be home with family for 6 months.   We  bought a mobile home, got jobs at Lowe’s and now they give us a leave of absence every year and cruise to places based on or past experiences.  The third year was even better as we spent more time just hanging on the hook in different bay’s on the gold coast of Mexico and doing nothing, which were getting real good at.   This year, maybe the Sea of Cortez, that’s the plan today written  the sand at low tide.

We hope to keep all of you informed of our sailing in Mexico on this Web site so check in often and drop us a line we would love to here from you!
