TRAVELER’S SPECIFICATIONS
Traveler is a 1981 Passport 42, hull No. 19 made in Taipei, Taiwan at the Solar Marine yard. The designer is Stan Huntingford a well known Canadian navel arch.  Stan Huntingford designed three double enders for Passport Yachts. (Later models were called a Slocum 43 after Huntingford left Passport.)  The traditional Passport is a Robert Perry design with reverse transoms.
We are the third owners of Traveler. The previous  owners cruised Mexico between 1992 Thur 1997 under the “Swedish” name of “Resande”.  The English translation is “Traveler”.
We purchased Traveler on July, 24, 1998 Joan’s birthday. We sailed her from Oakland, CA to San Diego on Aug. 9, 1998 and arrived at her new home at the Marriott Marina in San Diego on Aug. 13, 1998.  Up until we left for Mexico in Oct. 2004 Traveler was our home.
Traveler is meant to be cursing were  she shines, out in the open sea, or on the hook in a protected anchorage. It’s no wonder why there are so few Passports just seating in marina’s, their all out cruising!
